Index Reminder: Newton to be decommissioned Friday, September 30

Dear NERSC Users,

As previously announced, the NERSC Mathematics Server, Newton.
will be removed from service on Friday September 30, 2005.
NERSC users who have files on this machine should move
their important files to other systems e.g. Seaborg, Jacquard,
DaVinci, HPSS or their home site. WHEN NEWTON IS DECOMMISSIONED,
ALL FILES  REMAINING ON THE SYSTEM WILL BE LOST.

Please note, the Math applications that are available on Newton,
viz., MATHEMATICA, MATLAB, MAPLE, are now available on DaVinci
and Jacquard.
