Dear SP Users, HDF5 1.6.4 version has been installed on the IBM SP. This release of the HDF5 library includes some additional features, and numerous bug fixes. See the HDF5 1.6.4 Release Notes: http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/resources/software/libs/io/hdf5/release-notes-1.6.4.txt Both the "serial" and the "parallel" HDF5 (32-bit and 64-bit address space) libraries are available. To access the new version, for serial 32-bit use:"module load hdf5/1.6.4", and for 64-bit use:"module load hdf5_64/1.6.4". Similarly for parallel 32-bit use:"module load hdf5_par/1.6.4", and 64-bit use:"module load hdf5_par_64/1.6.4" This version will become the default on July 7, 2005. The current version, 1.6.1 will be disabled on July 28, 2005 and deleted soon thereafter.
