Greetings SP User,
A four day outage has been scheduled for seaborg on Oct 11 - Oct 14. The
system will be upgraded from AIX 4.3 to AIX 5.1 and many other software
levels will also be upgraded.
AIX 5.1
Parallel Environment 3.2
IBM C/C++ 6.0
IBM Fortran 8.1
With a few exceptions existing executables will run as before. Major
changes include:
* 64 bit MPI is now supported (was beta software).
* Existing 64 bit binaries must be recompiled, 32 bit
codes should run without modification.
* New compiler features, including:
Fortran support for OpenMP v2.0
C++ support for OpenMP v1.0 and MPI Bindings
