Dear NERSC users,

HDF 4.1r5 has been installed on the IBM SP, the Cray T3E, the Cray PVP
cluster, and the Visualization Server.

for the HDF 4.1r5 release notes.

To access the new version, use: "module load hdf/4.1r5"

Unless problems are found, this version will become the default on
December 4, 2001.  The current version, 4.1r3 on the Cray PVP
cluster and 4.1r4 on mcurie, seaborg and escher will be
disabled on December 18, 2001 and deleted soon thereafter.
