    Dear NERSC users,

MIPSpro version 7.4.2m compiler suite is available on Escher. This new 
version can be accessed
by loading the module "MIPSpro/7.4.2m".   To view  release notes on-line 
use the command:
 "grelnotes"

Unless problems are found, the new version will become the default on 
August 17, 2004.
Please note  the default  refers to the default version a user obtains 
by executing the comand
 "module load MIPSpro".   The current  version, 7.3.1.3m  may be 
accessed by loading the
 module "MIPSpro/7.3.1.3m"  after August 17, 2004.
