Greetings,

  PDSF has experienced problems the past two days with
  pdsflx000, which is the home fileserver for the cluster.
  This is a fairly old system that we already have plans
  to upgrade.  We will examine the system to see if
  there is a connection between the two recent interruptions,
  but, regardless, we will be scheduling an upgrade of the
  system very soon.  Hopefully, the system will behave itself
  in the interim.

ps: There seem to be some lingering effects for some of the users
with UID and PID. Our staff is aware and working on that.
