Dear Franklin users,

Franklin quad core upgrade phase 2 is tentatively scheduled to start on 
next Wednesday, August 13, at 7am PDT. The scheduled system maintenance 
and dedicated IO testing are expected to finish at 9pm PDT.   Franklin 
will then be back in production with 3 columns of quad core nodes and 14 
columns of dual core nodes. 

5 columns of dual core nodes will be moved one week later to the test 
environment for quad core upgrade and Franklin will be in production 
with 3 columns of quad core nodes and 9 columns of dual core nodes.
