  Dear Helen,
             A short time ago i requested a "special" queue 
  on franklin for 48 hours, but you suggested than bassi 
  may be more appropriate. Since then, I moved the calculation 
  to bassi, (and even tried to break up the problem into 
  more manageable size) but it still doesn't go through in 24 hrs.
  Could i have access to the special queue for a couple of runs?


  the passing files are not small either .... (see below), so 
  another 200 Gb in $SCRATCH would avoid the situation of running 
  out of disk space
