New Version of IDL at NERSC

Greetings NERSC User,

Version 7.0 of IDL is now available on Franklin, Jacquard, and DaVinci.
Support for AIX has been dropped by the vendor, so Bassi will remain at
version 6.4.

To try this new version, use the "module" command:

module load idl/7.0

If no problems are reported, this version will become the default in
one week.
