Seaborg Decommission Final Reminder

Dear Seaborg Users,

As a final reminder, Seaborg will be decommissioned in a few days.  
Please see the decommission schedule below for final details.


* Monday January 7, 2008 16:00 Pacific Time - Seaborg batch queues and 
any remaining running jobs stopped.  Logins disabled for end of year 
accounting.  This corresponds with the end of year accounting and down 
times for the other NERSC machines.

* Tuesday January 8, 2008 00:01 Pacific Time - Seaborg logins re-enabled 
for users to back up final /scratch data only, (no running jobs).  Other 
MPP production systems return to full availability.


* Tuesday January 8, 2008 16:00 Pacific Time - Seaborg user logins 
disabled for final time.  Users will have until 16:00 PT to move 
/scratch data to HPSS.


Files remaining in users' $HOME directories will be archived to HPSS, 
however files in $SCRATCH directories WILL BE DELETED.
