VisIt 1.6 now default on DaVinci

Greetings NERSC User,

VisIt 1.6 is now the default version of this popular visualization application
on DaVinci.  To access it, use the "module" command:

% module load visit

Information on VisIt may be found here:

http://vis.lbl.gov/NERSC/Software/visit/

The previous version (1.5.5) will remain available.  To access it:

% module load visit/1.5.5

Note also that if you are running VisIt on your workstation, and
want to access files on DaVinci, either you must upgrade the
version of VisIt running on your workstation to 1.6 (go to
www.llnl.gov/visit to download the latest version), or else you
must set the version of VisIt to use on DaVinci to 1.5.5 by entering

     -dir /usr/common/graphics/visit/visit-1.5.5

in the "Additional options" field in the "Host profiles" GUI when
you run VisIt on your workstation.
