Dear Seaborg User,

Seaborg will be migrated to AIX 5.2 and PE4.1 beginning Monday August 30
at 8:00am PDT.  Seaborg is expected to return to full production by noon
PDT on Wednesday September 1.

Please note that while the default MPI libraries will be changing, you
do not need to recompile your codes to use the new libraries. You may
test these libraries prior to the upgrade by putting the following into
your batch script.

"module load USG pe"

You can read about the new parallel environment that will be installed
later this month at http://www.nersc.gov/vendor_docs/ibm/
